Canine Control Bylaw Awareness Program starts Jan. 29

Jan 26, 2018 : Posted in Latest News

All dogs in New Tecumseth are required to be licensed annually. The Town, in partnership with DocuPet, will be conducting a dog licensing awareness program reminding residents to purchase their dog license as per the Town of New Tecumseth Canine Control By-Law No. 2017-077.  For the next several weeks – starting on Monday, January 29 – community representatives, hired by DocuPet will be going home-by-home to distribute information between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm weekdays only. They will not knock or ring your doorbell. Licenses will not be sold at the door.

All dog licenses expire 365 days from the date of purchase or from the date of the previous licenses expiry – whichever is later.

Licenses can be purchased online at newtecumseth.docupet.com, over the phone with credit card payment, by calling toll free to 1-855-249-1370 between 9 am and 5pm, in person by visiting Town Hall at 10 Wellington St. E., Alliston or the JOC at 6558 8th Line, County Road 1, Beeton or at participating vendor locations – http://newtecumseth.ca/residents/services/dog-tags/.

If you no longer have your pet, or if you have moved out of Town please let the Town or DocuPet know so that we can update our records.
