Citizen Awards and Recognition
The Wall of Honour celebrates individuals for outstanding contributions within New Tecumseth. Started in 2016, inductees are published on our website and are presented at the Canada Day celebrations each year.
The Museum’s Wall of Honour pays tribute to individuals who value our local history and work to preserve and promote it. Since 2003, the Museum on the Boyne Advisory Committee has been honouring recipients – those who have contributed to the preservation or promotion of history or heritage in the community with this prestigious title.
This award is presented to a senior resident, who may have contributed in many different fields, such as the arts, literature, community service, voluntarism, education, fitness and sport or humanitarian activities. The service that they provide goes well above and beyond and makes a significant impact on the community.
The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards recognize individual volunteers for continuous years of commitment and dedicated service to an organization. Adults are recognized for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30+, 40+, 50+ and 60+ years of continuous service. Youth (under the age of 24) are recognized for two or more years of continuous service.
